The Levittown Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1988 to preserve the history of one of suburbia's most famous developments.  Its members are dedicated to collecting and archiving photographs, documents, stories, and a wide variety of artifacts that tell the story of who we are and where we came from.

One of the Society's most celebrated accomplishments is our  Levittown History Museum  located on the lower level of the Levittown Memorial Education Center.  This extraordinary display features several complete rooms of actual furniture and appliances from Levitt homes dating back to the late 1940s and serves as a breathtaking tribute to Levittown's short, but significant history.  For more information about the museum, click on the "Museum Tour" button to the left.

The Levittown Historical Society holds general meetings on the third Monday of each month beginning at 7:30pm at the Levittown Public Library, #1 Bluegrass Lane, just off Hempstead Turnpike.  Call 731-5728 for directions.  All are welcomed to attend.
